Karma

For all of you who have already raised children, enjoy this moment. For those of you who have not yet raised children, be very scared. That karma thing is real. Take special note of the shoe in the picture.

You see, when I was a wee little guy, I had a very bad habit of ramming things up my nose. One time, I rammed a few raisins up my nose to the point that I had to be taken to the doctor to have them removed. Being so young, I remember very little about this, except that my mother proclaimed that one day I would know what it was like to have children do stupid things like this.

Well ma, your time has finally come.

Yesterday, we caught our daughter trying to ram some oatmeal up her nose. We read her the riot act and supposedly fixed that little issue... or so we thought. The last two days, Natalie had been acting very irritable, and evidently with good reason. This morning I was changing her diaper when I noticed a small white speck in her nose. I thought this was a remnant of the oats from the previous day. I grabbed a bobby pin from my wife and begun work on extracting the "oats." Not very long into the task, I realized I was dealing with something much bigger. To my horror, I realized I was attempting to extract a white polly pockets shoe from my daughter's nose.

There I was, in disbelief, left with the thought, I guess I got what was coming to me! Karma is real!

I Like to Move it

At the end of the kid's movie "Madagascar," there is a techno song by Sacha Baron Cohen called "I like to Move it." Well, evidently it struck a chord with Natalie and Logan, because they both broke out in dance when it started playing. See the results here. Posted by Picasa
